On the fourth, Jim ran in the Good Neighbor Day Run for Life Race in his hometown. There were over 2,000 runners participating in either the 5K, 5K walk, 10K or 15K. Jim ran the 10K (6.2miles).
This is the start of the race

where we watched this sea of people coming at us

and quickly swallowed us up.

Here's Jim at about the 1.5 mile mark still looking fresh. How sweet! He even waved.

Brown Sugar perched on the newspaper box and Grandpa looking for Jim to emerge from the distance.

Jim at about 4.5 miles. What? No wave this time!!

Crossing the finish line strong. He finished 50th out of 240 runners participating in the 10K. He was happy with his 7:30 minute pace. I was happy there were no injuries.
